Process


There are 21 award categories, including individual categories and organizational categories. Canadian mortgage brokers and industry professionals are invited to nominate themselves, their peers, their company or any individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian mortgage industry during 2017. After the nomination process, finalists for each category will be chosen and required to submit supporting documentation in order to become a Finalist.

 

 

STAGE 1: NOMINATIONS

All nominations are made via our Online Nomination Portal and will close on February 23, 2018, Friday.

STAGE 2: RESEARCH AND CONFIRMATION OF FINALISTS

Once nominations close, Wealth Professional Magazine (WP) will research to confirm all nominations received and to ensure that no one deserving is missed. Finalists will be determined from both pools of information.



STAGE 3: NOTIFICATION OF FINALISTS

Finalists will be informed via email / phone as provided on the nomination entries. Each finalist will be invited to complete a Finalist form, which will be forwarded to the panel of independent jury. Only those finalists who submit the Finalist form will move forward to the final stage. The submission form will support the Finalist's nomination, provide further information needed by the jury for winner selection, and show our judges why they deserve to win.



STAGE 4: JUDGING

A panel of esteemed, independent judges chosen from within the mortgage industry will review the Finalists' submission forms and submit their scores and selection for the winner in each category. The judges' decision are independent and impartial and there is no deliberation in each category. Each judge will sign a non-disclosure agreement.



FINAL STAGE

Finalists will join the Canadian wealth management and planning industry at the industry's night of nights for the announcement and celebration of the winners on May 31, 2018, Friday at The Liberty Grand Toronto.
